The metro area Alfisti did some serious partying this year, resulting in one of our best holiday events ever. Beautiful Alfisti, many Alfas, great music, good camaraderie, plenty of food and drink were the ingredients that made for a great evening. The Pezolds once again proved that they are the most gracious hosts on the planet. They certainly deserve the entire chapter's heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for continuing to provide such an elegant venue for what has become a chapter tradition. Kudos and thanks to Maxine and Irv for arranging all the catering that was better than we've ever had. While the party started at a slow pace with most revelers arriving after the official start time, once up to speed, it was rocking. Sensing the high level of enjoyment that prevailed, our insightful President wisely cut our traditional members meeting to its minimum necessary length, while still covering some our planned event for the '05 Alfa season. Way to go GT. A famous Greek entertainer of some repute showed up to provide us with his stylized renderings of some great songs. He claimed that he was a dentist during the day, but his obvious talent and expertise made it clear that he was more likely a full time professional musician, even though he didn't know who Lou Monte was. The demand for Italian songs quickly subsided when he threatened to do Greek songs instead. Grazie Double D. (Dr. Dino). It was hoped that no one hurt themselves eating too much of the spectacular deserts, but more than one Alfisti probably suffered remorse after weighing themselves the following morning. Thanks to all those hard working Alfisti who made this year's party such a great success, doing better next year might be pretty near impossible.
